Borno Correspondents’ Chapel Appreciate Zulum For Appointing Its Member As Spokesman 

The Borno State Correspondents’ Chapel of the NUJ, has commended the step taken by Gov. Babagana Zulum in appointing Dauda Iliya, a member of the chapel and State NUJ Chairman as his media spokesman.

In an appreciation message on behalf of the Chapel Chairman, Comrade Inusa Ndahi led Executive and members, the chapel Secretary, Ismail Alfa Abdulrahim, thanked Zulum for appointing one of it’s own.

It said that the choice of Iliya is a well thought decision and a welcome one.

“On behalf of Comrade Inusa Ndahi led Exco and Members of the Correspondents’ Chapel of  NUJ Borno State Council, we would like to extend our profound gratitude and appreciation to the Executive Governor of Borno State, Professor Babagana Zulum for appointing one of us, Comrade Dauda Iliya as the Special Adviser on Media Communication.

“The choice of Comrade Dauda Iliya is a well thought decision, considering his wealth of experience, hard work and dedication to duty, and above all, a team player in the field of journalism profession.

“The leadership and vision of Comrade Iliya, while steering the affairs of the NUJ Borno State Council, have been an inspiration to journalists, and we are confident that he will replicate it and excel as Special Adviser on Media.

“We want to assure your Excellency and the new spokesman of the continued support and the cooperation of all members of the Correspondents’ Chapel to this administration.

“While wishing Comrade Dauda Iliya the best, we also want to assure that our doors are always open for support and advice and urge him to take on this new assignment as a trust, challenge and a call to duty. As one of us, we believe Comrade Dauda Iliya has all it takes to impact positively and deliver on his mandate in the present administration in the State.

“Finally, we look forward to the continuous cordial and harmonious working relationships between the government and members of chapel as well as the entire working journalists in the state”, the message added.
