Borno APC Inaugurates Caretaker Committees For State, LGAs

The Borno State Chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has the inaugurated the party Caretaker Committee executives for the State and 27 Local Government Areas .

Inaugurating the committees at a ceremony on Saturday in Maiduguri,  the state caretaker Chairman of the party, Alhaji Ali Dalori, urged the to consider the party’s decision to retain them as caretaker as a sign of confidence on their capacity.

Dalori urged them not to disappoint the party by doing the right thing that would continue to strengthen party in the state.

He also tasked them to ensure mass participation in the party’s new membership registration exercise.

“You should consider the decision of the National Executive Council (NEC) to allow you continue as caretaker of the party to handle the registration exercise as a sign of confidence in your ability to deliver.

“Borno is an APC state and I am confidence that we will not disappoint the party in making it more popular and stronger.

“I want to commend the state Governor for his sustain support to our great party and to assure him of our continuous readiness to support him in the ongoing transformation of the state inline with the party manifesto,” Dalori said.

Highlight of the occasion was the taking of oath of office by officials of the state and local government caretaker committee of the party administred by the state  Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice, Barrister Kaka Shehu.

It will be recall that APC National Executive  Council (NEC) had in recent meeting dissolved all its executive committees across the states and zones in the country where it resolved that the dissolved EXCOs at all levels should serve in their respective offices as caretaker committees.
