Amid incessant attacks by suspected Boko Haram insurgents officials of the the Nigeria’s emergency management agency, NEMA, North East zonal office Maiduguri has distributed food and non food items for new influx of 1888 households of Internally Displaced persons (IDPs) from communities affected by insurgency in Jere LGA Borno state.
The communities are residing at Gonglon host community where arrangement for temporary shelter is ongoing in collaboration with Borno state government and other humanitarian Partners.

said the the items were received by representatives of Borno state Emergency Management Agency BOSEMA and Alh Ahmed Kurna a community leader .
” This parts of efforts by the Director General, DG, NEMA, AVM Muhammadu Mohammed to ensure prompt response to victims of disasters across the country.
“The items distributed include food items,
mattresses, buckets,mosquito nets,soap, plates, buckets, spoons, Male and Female clothing for men and children,wax prints for women, and diapers for babies.
The beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the gesture by the government.
