The Borno Geographic Information Service (BOGIS) has extended its ongoing Community Outreach on Land Sensitization and Documentation Exercise to BOTP 73, 75, and 83 Layouts along Pompomari Bypass in Maiduguri.
A statement by the S.A Media to BOGIS on Wednesday, said the exercise, which runs daily from 9:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m is designed to educate residents and provide landholders the opportunity to verify and perfect their title documents.
According to Chairman of the Committee, Musa Bulama, the outreach will continue across additional layouts in the coming days as part of efforts to ensure that every landholder within the Government approved layouts is properly captured and protected under the law.

Bulama explained that the agency is not out to seize anyone’s land or property, but rather to ensure that all landholders are recognized, documented, and protected through proper title perfection and verification processes.
Many residents who spoke expressed appreciation for the exercise, describing it as timely and beneficial particularly for those who had long wanted to regularize their land documents but were previously discouraged by rumours and misinformation.
They commended BOGIS for bringing its services closer to the people and for maintaining transparency throughout the process.
