Army provides free medical treatment to communities in Adamawa

The 23 Brigade Yola, has commenced free medical treatment to Malkohi community in Yola South local Government Area of Adamawa to mark this year’s Nigeria Army Day Celebration (NADCEL).Speaking on the exercise on Wednesday in Malkohi village, the Brigade Commander 23 Brigade, Brig. Gen S.G Mohammed, said the gesture was part of activities line up for NADCEL nationwide.Mohammed said the gesture was also inline with the policy of the Chief of Army Staff to further enhance army/civilian relationship.Mohammed lauded the existing cordial relationship between the military and civilian in Adamawa and urged for sustainability.He urge the civilian public on the need to always to provide relevant security information to military to enable it discharge it responsibilities more effectively.Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to newsmen on the exercise described it as a welcome development and a big relief to them.”We are happy and feel lucky to benefit from this free treatment from the army and look forward to more of this kind gesture,” Buba Musa said.Some of the activities line up for the NADCEL included sanitation exercise in Yola main Market, a special Church service to be followed by Jumaat prayer on Friday.
