The officers and men of Sector 3 OP HADIN KAI and Multinational National Joint Task Force on Monday joined other Muslim faithfuls to mark the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan in Monguno Borno State.
A statement by Maj. Ojo Ifedayo Adenegan, the Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations Sector 3 OP HADIN KAI / Multinational Joint Task Force Monguno said the Eid-el-Fitr event included a luncheon with troops.
“The event commenced with Eid prayers at the Kinasara Cantonment prayer ground where muslim officers and men were led by the Sector Chief Imam, Captain Mohammed Habib Ilal-Amam in prayers for the successful end of theone month Ramadan fast.
“During the celebration, Sallah luncheon was organized by the Commander Sector 3, Major General Godwin M Mutkut and the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya and the Eid- el – Fitr Goodwill message was delivered to the officers and men by the Commander.
“In his remarks, Major General Mutkut urged the troops to redouble thier efforts for more achievement in the fight against insurgency as a way of appreciating the Chief of Army Staff usual support to the troops in the Theater,” Adenegan said.
He said that the dignitaries that graced the occasion included the Vice Chairman Monguno Local Government Area, Hon Sanda Amodu, some staff of the Local Government and some members of Civilian Joint Task Force.
