The All Progressives Congress (APC) women leader, Adamawa south senatorial zone, Hajiya Zainab Abubakar has lauded former governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow for providing solid infrastructure and revamping the education and health sectors.
Making the remark during an APC constituency outreach for the zone organized by the International Republican Institute (IRI) and supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Ganye local government of Adamawa State, Abubakar also lauded the party for entrenching security and upholding war against corruption.
“The previous APC led administration of governor Muhammad Umaru Jibrilla Bindow has done excellently well in bridging infrastructural gap in the state through construction of roads.
” Ganye township has benefitted from the gesture as one of the achievements of the APC. The party has equally done well at ensuring prudent management of scarce resources,” she said.
But while disagreeing with the scorecard of Abubakar, a participant, Halima Yuguda from Jada local government said the party has performed below expectation in health sector noting that healthcare infrastructure in the area especially in the rural areas is in complete dilapidation.
Also corroborating Halima, Richard Joseph another participant also scored the APC administration low in the area of job creation, youth and women empowerment.
He called on the party to make job creation, youth and women empowerment, one of its cardinal agenda.
Most of the participants score the party low in all facets of human endeavor ranging from poor access to water and sanitation, failure of the administration to tackle social insecurity especially the farmers/herders crisis, dearth of infrastructure among others.
