APC N/East nat’l vice chair celebrates birthday with grandeur, empowers 5,000 in Adamawa
Comrade Mustapha Salihu, the North-East National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has celebrated his birthday in grandeur and extended support to no fewer than 5,000 beneficiaries across Adamawa State during the 3rd edition of his colloquium, in Yola.
The elaborate event which lasted a whole day include cash donations to patients at Fofure Cottage Hospital, Modibbo Adama Teaching Hospital, Girei Cottage Hospital, and Yola Specialist Hospital.
Additionally, 2,000 students across tertiary institutions in Adamawa State also benefited from scholarships initiated by Comrade Salihu, with plans to extend support to 250 more students in the near future.
Comrade Mustapha Atiku Ribadu, APC State Organization Secretary, lauded the Northeast APC Vice Chairman for his unwavering commitment to humanity and education.
According to Ribadu, Mustapha Salihu’s efforts span across the Adamawa Polytechnic, Federal College of Education, Federal Polytechnic Mubi, and other institutions. “He does this not for recognition but for the sake of God and the betterment of society,” Ribadu stated.
In his remarks, Hon. Kabiru Mijinyawa, representing Yola South in the State Assembly, highlighted Salihu’s long-standing support for widows, orphans, and physically challenged persons through the provision of food items and other essentials.
The birthday colloquium was attended by prominent political figures, including the Adamawa State APC Chairman, Barr. Idris Shuaibu, members of the State House of Assembly, and a host of women and youth groups.
Barr. Shuaibu praised Mustapha Salihu as a pillar of support and a silent achiever whose contributions have significantly bolstered the APC’s presence in the Northeast. “He is a man of peace, a selfless leader whose philanthropic deeds are unmatched,” Shuaibu added.
The event also served as a platform for distributing cash donations to women, youth, and physically challenged individuals across Fofure, Yola North, Yola South, and Girei Local Governments.
Speaking at the occasion, Comrade Mustapha Salihu expressed gratitude to his supporters and reiterated his commitment to serve the people of Adamawa State and fostering development in the region.
The colloquium was not only a celebration of Comrade Salihu’s birthday but also a testament to his role as a trailblazer in Adamawa politics and a shining star of Nigeria’s future.
