Gov. Fintiri while receiving in audience stakeholders from Ganye Chiefdom on a thank-you visit in the Government House, Yola said that the government was disturbed by the increasing cases of Kidnappings.
“Security is paramount and the government will not relent in flushing out the bandits terrorising our communities,” he said.
To this end, he urged people of the three local governments in Ganye Chiefdom which comprised Toungo, Ganye and Jada to unite and foster peace by assisting security agencies with relevant information towards arresting the menace of kidnappings and other security threats bedevilling the area.
The stakeholders led by paramount ruler of the Ganye Chiefdom were at government house to thank the governor for appointing 72 sons and daughters of the chiefdom into key positions under present administration.
The Governor who thanked them for the visit said the appointments were part of the fair share from the government to the people of the chiefdom adding that all those appointed were base on merit devoid of any political consideration.
Earlier in his remark, Gangwari Ganye, Alhaji Umaru Adamu Sanda thanked Governor Umaru Fintiri for carriying out Toungo electrification project, completing Ganye township road and rehabilitation of schools among other projects in Jada, Ganye and Tongou local governments.
The monarch recalled that Fintiri while in the helm of affairs as Acting Governor of Adamawa in 2014 completed cottage hospital Jada and upgraded it to general hospital.
He assured him continued support and loyalty of the people of Ganye Chiefdom and called on the appointees from the Chiefdom to be good ambassadors and assist the Governor in moving the state to greater heights.
Meanwhile, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri also received stakeholders from Michika local government who were in the Government House, to thank him for appointing 25 indigenes of the area into key positions under his administration.
The Governor who expressed delight with the visit said the people of Michika deserved their fair share of appointments gotten and assured that his administration will continue to reach every nook and cranny of Adamawa with developmental projects in the remaining three years of tenure in office.
Earlier in his remark, the Spokesman of Michika delegation, Chief David Barau, a former deputy governor of the defunct Gongola State appreciated Governor Umaru Fintiri for appointing sons and daughters of the area and assured him support and solidarity of the people.
