The Deputy Governor of Bauchi state, Senator Baba Tela said that the smooth conduct of the local government congress of the people’s Democratic Party (PDP) is one of the best thing that happened to the party in Adamawa state
Tela who is the chairman of the PDP congress committee Adamawa in an interview with journalists in Song local government area in the state Tuesday while monitoring the conduct of the exercise expressed satisfaction with the way it was held.
Tela explained that the democracy is growing steadily and political class are trying to refine it to their taste for accommodating various interests.
He expressed optimism that with level of positive performance in both the ward and local government congresses in the state even the state congress would be remarkable which indicates the party is regaining its lost position in the 2023 elections.
He called on the members of the party to work as a team assiduously for the party to emerge victorious in all forthcoming contests.
In his opinion, the Federal legislator representing Song/Fufore in the house of representatives, Dr. Mustapha Saidu stated the PDP is regaining its ground.
Saidu said the internal ongoing reconciliation of aggrieved members is bringing them close and strong than ever stressing that the acceptability of the move is paying creditably.
He added that this time the party will be firm and resist any attempt to be rigged out by the ruling party in any political contest.
