Adamawa PDP Faction Laud stakeholders For Identifying With It Struggle
The newly created faction in Adamawa People’s Democratic Party (PDP) that identified itself as Renewed PDP (R-PDP) has lauded Sen. Cliff Abbo representing Adamawa North) and Dr Umar Ardo for identifying with it struggle.

Girei lauded Abbo and Dr Umar Ardo for boldly identifying with the faction, adding that majority of the party stakeholders in Adamawa had showed interest in supporting the cause of the faction and would soon do that.
“I urged them to come so that we unite and save the party. I dont want to mention names but I can assure you that not Dr Ardo alone but 90 percent of the PDP gubernatorial aspirants are supporting usm,” Girei urged.
He said the faction was necessitated by the unconstitutional attitude of the state PDP executive backed by Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri.
“The present PDP executive led by the chairman, Mr Tahir Shehu were appointed as interim committee but they illegally transformed into permanent executive.
“They also violated the party constitution section 4 (a) by taking appointment in Gov. Fintiri administration and still reserving their executive positions in the party.
“For instance, most of the party chairmen in local government were appointed as caretakers chairmen of local government Council where they served for six months and now return to take over their position again as local government party chairmen
“Many party members are against such practices and this is why we created the R-PDP to rescue the party,” Girei said.
He explained that three committees comprising Advisory Committee, Reconciliation Committee and Disciplinary Committee would soon be constituted by the R-PDP as part of measures to rescue the party.
