Adamawa Governor Fintiri vow to pay two months’ salary

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri  has promised that workers in the state will get their two months’ salary before the Eidle-Fitr-Sallah Celebration.

For now workers in the state are yet to receive their April salary a situation that spurred reactions.

The Governor made the pledge during the inauguration dinner held at the Banquet Hall of the government house Yola.

 

 

Governor Umaru Fintiri applauded the Adamawa people for celebrating with him and reiterated his resolve to pay the April and May Salary to the civil servants to enable them celebrate Sallah.

 

Alhaji Umaru Fintiri explained that the dinner was not organised by the state government but his friends and associates for the celebration of his inauguration.

 

He thanked all  that graced the occasion to celebrate with him, ‘’ I appreciate and thank you all as you celebrate with us in the struggle of this new journey.’’

 

Earlier, the State Chairman of the  Peoples’ Democratic Party PDP Barr. A. T Shehu said the dinner was organized to celebrate with the new administration in the state.

 

Dignitaries that attended the event included the wife of the governor Hajiya Lami Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, politicians, as well as friends and well -wishers to the Governor among others.

The event was also graced by various artistes such as Maimuna Damare, Hamza Bauchi among others that  entertained the gathering with their various musicals.
