The Adamawa state House of Assembly has suspended the chairman transition committee of Numan local government, Mr Nathaniel Nyakul, for alleged misconduct.
The two weeks suspension is to allow the House Committee on Public Petition, Local Government Affairs and Public Account investigate a petition against him by 10 councillors.
The house plenary presided over by the Speaker, Alhaji Aminu Iya Abbas, has directed the Vice Chairman to take over pending the outcome of the investigation.
The house at the plenary also approved 40 Special Advisers for Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
