Adamawa House of Assembly on Wednesday approved the list of 23 commissioner nominees sent to it by Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri for screening and approval.
The approval followed the conclusion of a three-day screening of the nominees which started on Monday.
The House plenary presided over by Speaker, Aminu Iya-Abbas, went into a committee of a Whole after which the Majority Leader, Hammantukur Yettisuri, moved motion for the nominees approval and was seconded by the Deputy Majority Leader, Japhet Kefas, before the speaker put it to voice-votes for the unanimous approval.
Among those approved are Adamu Atiku, the eldest son of the Presidential candidate of PDP in 2019 general election, Atiku Abubakar and the Adamawa State Secretary of PDP, Abdullahi Prambe.
Others are the only three women in the list, Wilbina Jackson, Justina Nkom and Lami Patrick.
There is also a medical professor, Prof. Is a Abdullahi and an INEC Administrative Secretary in Taraba State, Mohammed Umar.
