‎In a unique show of communal solidarity, the Organizing Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Mustapha Atiku Ribadu, has on Sunday distributed cash incentives to 400 youth and women in Ribadu and Dasin Hausa communities, his place of origin to mark his 46th birthday.  Each of the beneficiary, received a handout of N10,000.

‎Chairman of APC Ribadu Ward, Maji Dadi Funange Babaji Sallau, who described the gesture as unprecedented extolls Mustapha Atiku as a unifying force and a true son of the soil whose leadership continues to inspire hope.
‎
‎ “Over the years you have shown undiluted love for your community and kindred. Because of that gesture, no youth command the loyalty and respect you commanded.
‎
‎”We will defend you with all our strength because you have shown leadership and compassion. The ‘Black-Cap’ movement you founded has become a major political force in this area and beyond and our party the APC continues to command control,” he said.
‎
‎On his part, the Chairman of APC Fufore Local Government Area, Hon. James Beka, extolled the developmental strides recorded in Ribadu under the influence of National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
‎
‎He listed key projects including the rehabilitation of the long-neglected Ribadu road, the establishment of an ICT centre, industrial boreholes, and the ongoing construction of a state-of-the-art general hospital as some of the democracy dividends the area has witnessed recently.
‎
‎“Ribadu has become a model of grassroots development. Our people are empowered, our youth are active, and our women have a voice. Those who wish us ill will only be put to shame,” Beka declared.
‎
‎Also speaking, the Assistant Secretary of APC in Adamawa State, Dahiru Mahmud, lauded the unprecedented development in Ribadu, describing it as a land of “torch bearers” that continues to produce visionary leaders.
‎
‎“From Mahmud Ribadu to Nuhu Ribadu, and now Mustapha Atiku Ribadu, this community has produced vibrant and respected leaders who continue to inspire hope and command respect across the globe,” he said.
‎
‎In his address, Mustapha Atiku Ribadu who appreciated the massive turnout said what the APC has done so far is just a tip of the iceberg.
‎
‎”Ribadu and all adjoining towns and villages will continue to reap the dividends of democracy as Mallam Nuhu Ribadu has pledged to ensure that the people get maximum democratic dividends. In days to come this promise will come to fruition,” he said.
‎
‎He noted that he decided to celebrate his birthday with the people as a show of goodwill and communal camaraderie and to use the solemn occasion to bring succor to the less privileged amongst his kindred instead of expending huge money in organizing ostentatious birthday bash.
‎
‎He thanked the NSA for always being there for his people since he assumed office adding that in the nearest future, the area will experience the flow of unprecedented opportunities and empowerments courtesy of Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
‎
‎ “In just two years, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu has brought so many development including setting up a state of the art  ICT centre, constructing industrial boreholes, road projects and he is now constructing a general hospital. Mallam will continue to prioritize this area and its people and I assure you what we have witnessed is just a tip of the iceberg.
‎
‎”Mallam has promised more empowerment initiatives to make our youth self-reliant,” he said.
‎
‎He also praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for supporting development initiatives in Adamawa urging the people to reciprocate the gesture through their continued support.
‎
‎A beneficiary, Mallama Huraira Hassan thanked the organizing secretary for the gesture noting that the cash support will go a long way in supporting her business.
‎
‎She urged other well meaning members of the society to follow suit in other to give their quotas in alleviating poverty.
