Adamawa ADC aspirants forum honour Sen. Abdulaziz for selfless service

The aspirants for Adamawa House of Assembly under the platform of African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the last general election have hounoured Sen. Abdul-Aziz Nyako, the for his selfless service to the party and people of Adamawa.

The aspirants/candidates under the platform of Adamawa State ADC State Assembly Aspirants Forum said Abdul-Aziz the party gubernatorial candidate popularly known as commander sacrifice his senatorial seat to fight against injustice in the state.

Speaking on behalf of the aspirants at the ceremony in Yola on Saturday, the chairman of the forum, Abubakar Salihu Mohammed known as Maiwake, said Abdul-Aziz gave the party purposeful leadership at all level hence their resolved to honour him and reiterate their loyalty to him.

“Distinguished Sen. Abdul-Aziz Nyako was a sitting senator under the platform of APC, the government at the centre, he has all the chances to live for himself and return back to the senate, but because of his allergy to injustice in internal democracy of the APC, he decided to live for others, by sacrificing his exalted and prestigious office to fight for the common man,” Maiwake said.

He listed the quality representation given to people of Adamawa Central Senatorial District by Abdul-Aziz at the senate listing the Not-too-Young to Run and North East Development Commission bills as some of the notable bills that materialized from his contributions at the senate.

Others who spoke at the occasion including Abubakar Ali and Abalis Paul eulogized Abdul-Aziz for his contributions and urged his to sustain the tempo.

Other party chieftains including women leader were also honoured at the reception.

In his remarks at the occasion, Abdul-Aziz thanked them for the honour which he described as first of its kind by aspirants of any political party in the state and assured them of his commitment to work for the good of the state and nation in general
