Late Kari

NINE YEARS AGO, AN ICON, ERUDITE ADMINISTRATOR AND SEASON POLITICIAN HAS GONE:

TRIBUTE TO ALHAJI ABUBAKAR ABDULLAHI mni (aka Kari) SARDAUNA MICHIKA

8th October, 2024 marked Nine (9) YEARS; of departured of hero.
A pure minded personality and a mentor for many. Since his demised on the 8th of October, 2015, the date continue to rang in my ears.

He was blessed with uncommon scholarship and erudition, he shine extremely so brightly a federated Director, the personality we always awaits his voice as solutions on problems and issues of of our community, he was our rallying point imbued with captivating sense of sophistry. Late Sardauna Michika, was entangled with a remarkable sense of humor. A man who belongs to all, he hardly had any privacy.

The departured of Kari, has leaves multiple VACUUM in all destinations. He still remain a shinning symbol for us. Any citation on him, could be very irresistible.

The departure that till today has no replacement amongst us, Sardauna’s departure still lingers in our minds, we are still shading tears and nursing pains.

Thursday October 8th 2015, is still afresh in our minds. It was the day, Michika lost one of its finest son, Alhaji Abubakar Abdullahi Kari mni Sardauna Michika. An Administrator, Philanthropist, prolific politician and easily one of the quick grown, accepted and leading politician and indeed the most leading political figure in Northern Adamawa and indeed Adamawa state during his little political life.

For us as his students from the scratch, his colleagues in the royalty and his contemporaries in politics/democracy, the lost of Sardauna Michika is and will forever remain deeply and intensely personal. He was our teacher, our mentor, our guide, our cover, our mouth peace, our unifier our, mentor, our leader and elder. Above all, he was our kind, generous and beloved brother who lent his broad shoulders, abundant resources and considerable experience to our perennial struggle for a better community and Michika Local government.

Kari, as we foundly called him, was a rare model of integrity, humility and exemplary conduct in all its ramifications. In spite of his towering status both in Administration and politics and of his aged and seniority, it was difficult to be around anyone more easy going, more considerate and more tolerant of dissenting opinion. He was just as passionate about his convictions as he was willing to listen to and consider other points if view.

A leader is known by five main qualities;
1. Vision
2. Courage
3. Inspiration
4. Personal
sacrifice and
5. Personal example.
In both my association with him as my teacher, my leader and my colleague in the royalty, late Sardauna Michika, displayed this qualities in abundance. He was always the first to see beyond the horizon, the first to inspire to action, the first to put his feet forward and to place his name and reputation on the line. Late Sardauna Michika, often argued that at his aged, he had no reason to do otherwise.

Alhaji Abubakar Abdullahi mni, Sardauna Michika, has left a vacuum too deep and wide to be filled in a hurry, in our community.
He has left a legacy of selfless leadership and sacrifice to last for a long time. We have missed his mentorship, his guidance, his passion and humility.
I pray that Almighty ALLAH will reward his efforts and forgive his shortcomings.
ADIUE SARDAUNA; EIGHT years gone, but we are still in tears and pains. We saw and still feeling your absence 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
It was on Thursday 8th of October, 2015 we bid farewell to a man who is admired by all; what should I said in his all advises, his teachings and encouragements increases me. I will always remain to be saying farewell to a noble leader and mentor who chilled my ears day and night and took my good with his words of encouragement and his mentorship prowess.

My eyes are full of tears of sorrow for the great lost and departure. Sardauna, people like you don’t just past away, I said again in 2023, farewell to you our leader. As I pray, you rest in JANNATUL FIRDAUSI, your foot prints will ever remain in the soil of our community and politics.
