Group blasts NSCDC boss over alleged unprofessional conduct

The leadership of Unified Nigerian Youth forum (UNYF), has observed with dismay the allegations raised against the current Commandant General of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

UNYF in a statement signed by Comrade Abdulsalam Mohammed Kazeem said because of the high level of sleaze in NSCDC, contractors and other stakeholders are left with no option than to publicly voice out the unprofessional conduct, contract/job racketeering, favoritism, adminstrative bribe and other forms of bad leadership in the organization.

Kazeem noted that President Mohammadu Buhari has zero tolerance for all forms of corruption at all levels of governance, stressing that their greatest suprise is that the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps is the corruption hub of Nigeria under the leadership of Mr Audi, in less than a year of his headship.

The forum alleged that he (Mr Audi) has transferred many professional, patriotic, committed and brave commanders of the corps out of strategic position/commands and replaced them with his puppets who lack all the required professional qualities to occupy such sensitive positions considering the country’s recent experience against banditry, cattle rustling and all other forms of insecurity confronting the people as a nation.

He said the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps is expected to support the Armed Forces, the Nigeria police and other sisters security outfits in tackling crime rate, terrorism and fight against theft of the crude oils/National assets.

The statement further alleged that the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps is on a mission to compromise all youth groups across the country in order to stop them from exposing his act of corrupt practices.

It believed that the time is now for President Muhammadu Buhari to act to save the NSCDC from Dr Ahmed Audi, stressing that the service of NSCDC has become a cesspool of corruption and maladministration.

“We as a organised forum (Unified Nigerian Youth Forum) has chosen not to compromise on it’s noble ideals and principles of fighting corruption and individuals who are derailing the Anti-corruption crusade of President Buhari led administration,” the statement stated.

The statement said that failure of Mr president to act now, Unified Nigerian Youth forum (UNYF) would not hesitate to carry out massive protests across the country, if Buhari refused to act by sacking Dr Ahmed Audi as the Commandant General of NSCDC.

It should be on record for historical purposes that (UNYF) dissociate and disaffiliate itself from the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), alleging that it has become a willing tool and stooge for corrupt public office holders at the detriment of Nigerians and the current administration.
