39 aspirants screened, cleared to contest Adamawa PDP state congress

Ahead of the conduct of its state congresses across the country the Adamawa state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party has screened 39 aspirants to contest the state party offices.

Chairman of the screening committee, Mamu Alhaji Muhammad disclosed to journalists at the party secretariat in Yola Yesterday stressing that all the 39 aspirants presented to the committee vying for state executive offices have cleared .

Muhammad said with the screening and clearance the 39 aspirants are eligible to contest various elective offices noting that they all indicated their interests by purchasing nomination forms and attended the screening exercise.

He stated that the committee was surprised by the quality and calibre of the interested aspirants appreciating that their credentials indicates positive contributions to the development of the party.

He explained that the committee has followed strictly the party’s constitutional guidelines devoid of any hidden considerations urging party members to unite and work together in the overall interest of the party.

“We are in the state for the screening of Aspirants who will contest in various positions during the state congress of the party slated October 16th.

“Thirty nine (39) aspirants showed interest to contest and all of them were screened,cleared and are found eligible to participate in the coming state congress,” the chairman added.
