The Modibbo Adama University Yola (MAU YOLA) has concluded preparations to graduate 12,876 students for 2017 to 2020 Academic sessions.
Breakdown of the graduates indicates that Bachelor degree holders include 131 first class, 2865 second class upper, 7,462 second class lower, 2,141 third class and 277 pass degrees.
Disclosing this development at a press conference in Yola Wednesday, Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Abdullahi Liman Tukur said that category of higher degrees has 183 postgraduate diplomas,1373 Masters and 155 Ph.Ds in various disciplines.
Professor Tukur announced that certificates of all graduates are ready for collection on the day of convocation.
Tukur said the convocation ceremony slated for Saturday 23rd October, 2021 will witness a convocation lecture by former Nigerian Chief of Army staff, General Tukur Buratai on the topic “The Nigerian Front in the War on Terror ” scheduled for Friday 22 October, 2021.
He also appealed to the Federal government to facilitate the perimeter fencing of the University for addressing possible security challenges.
“The University campus is porous and vulnerable to daredevils, criminals merchants and unforeseen characters.
“We appeal to the Federal government to facilitate the perimeter fencing of the compose,’ Tukur appealed.
